How to find a vacancy for DI
How to find a vacancy for DI? The vacancy of Drug Inspector originates in Central Government and also in State Government. The vacancy arises in UPSC and SCC within Central Government. and for State Government the Department of Health and Medical Services, each state has a different name.
Eligibility To Become a Drug Inspector?
If you have done a degree from B.Pharma, Pharmaceutical Science, B.Sc Medicine, Special in Microbiology and Clinical Pharmacology from a recognized university, you can apply for Drug Inspector.
Experience requirement to become a Drug Inspector.
* 18 months in manufacturing Schedule C drugs.
* 18 months of schedule C drug testing.
* 3-year inspection of firms manufacturing Schedule C drugs.
There are 3 stages to become a Drug Inspector
1 Written Test: - There are also 2 types of written tests.
* Pharmacy
* General Knowledge
2 Physical Effective Test
3 interviews
1)Pharmacy: - This test carries 200 marks and takes 2 hours. And the questions which are asked from the subjects in this test are given below -
Forensic Science, Manufacturing Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Medicine Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, Anatomy and Physiology & Health Care.
2)General Knowledge: - This test carries 50 marks and is of 1 hour time. After the written test is over, you have a Physical Effective Test or Interview.
Age Limit
To become a Drug Inspector, your age limit is up to 35 years.
Drug Inspector Salary
When you join the job of Drug Inspector, your minimum salary would be 45000 to 1,50,000
But it depends on your experience and where you are working at the state level or central level.
What are Drug Inspector’s Duties?
It is the duty of the Drug Inspector to comply with all the rules under the Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940.
Field duty is to be done on Assisting Superior / Drug Inspector Enforcement Activities such as raids / Inspection, and Launching Prosecution, it means to stop misuse of medicine or the production of medicine incorrectly anywhere in the retail or wholesale or any industry. and also stop if the medicine is being sold wrongly, then it is the duty of the drug inspector to put raids/inspections on it. Apart from this, the license of retail and wholesale is distributed by the drug inspector itself.
CDSCO - Central Drug Standard Control Organization which is an organization for maintaining the standard of medicine within India. For them, the Drug Inspector also has to do the work of Documentation and Monitoring under the Central Government.
Types of Drug Inspectors
The drug inspector has to play various roles in his/her career. The roles are mentioned below
Pharmacology: Collects, monitors, researches, evaluates, and evaluates information about various drugs, blood products, biological products, vaccines, herbs, supplements, etc. from a professional patient or healthcare provider in the field.
Drug Safety Officer: The Drug Safety Officer specializes in monitoring drug or drug side effects on patients. Officers then review the medication and report the effect of that improvement.
Medical Reviewer: A medical reviewer examines medical records with health care facilities. Medical reviewers are also called medical auditors because they review the data to ensure that the drug quality assessment record is accurate.
Drug Safety Physician: The Drug Safety Physician works with the Drug Safety Team to evaluate the effectiveness of the drug and then make future recommendations. A drug safety business needs to understand how drugs affect the human body and various diseases.
Drug Safety Associate: The job of a Drug Safety Associate is the same as that of a Drug Safety Officer.
