What is a patent agent exam?
The Patent Agent Examination is conducted by the Government of India. After qualification
Examiners can practice as professional patent agents and assist corporates and individuals who file patents.
eligibility criteria: -
At least 21 years
Indian nationality
At least a science based degree [Must have a degree in science, engineering or technology from any university established under Indian law or other equivalent qualification as may be specified by the Central Government]
on behalf of -
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
Master of Science (MSc)
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma)
Master of Science of Pharmacy (M.Pharma)
Degree in Engineering (BE)
Engineering (ME)
Bachelor of Technology (B Tech)
Master of Technology (M.Tech)
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Ph.D.

The degree should be completed. Final year candidates are also eligible till the final degree, mark-sheets etc. are prepared within 2 months of the declaration of the result of the patent agent examination.
